Dowsing

Plenty of bands slip by me, leaving only their names to be revisited at random times. Dowsing (Chicago) is one of those bands, and after watching their Audiotree session  earlier today, I'm hooked. They've got those classic emo vibes, sweet, graspable melodies, and glowing traces of DIY spirit. I can't help but thinking that the lead singer sounds like Max Bemis of Say Anything, and I love it. Each refrain is meant to be shouted, each note and strike a reminder that being sad brings out the passion in all of us. For fans of Sorority Noise, Tiny Moving Parts, and Spraynard.
