Crystal Lake

It's very hard to type this right now without ripping the screen off my laptop, because Tokyo's Crystal Lake make we want to break everything in sight. These guys are like the reckless brother of Parkway Drive, complete with fierce, in-your-face vocals, chunky palm mutes, unrelenting breakdowns, and sweet guitar solos. Their latest record, The Sign, is a masterpiece of modern metal. Putting a progressive twist on classic metalcore, Crystal Lake are achieving what few Western metalcore bands are. Oh, and "Body Movin'" is a cover of the Beastie Boys hit, and it fucking rocks.
