Blink 182-"Rabbit Hole"

There's a lot of uncertainty surrounding Blink 182's upcoming album, California. Number one because Tom DeLonge isn't on it, and number two because the first two tracks that have been released aren't anything special. While "Bored To Death" is slowly becoming an infectious earworm in my head, it just doesn't have the uptempo chops, riffs, or witty lyricism that Blink's best material is known for. But their newest track, titled "Rabbit Hole," offers a shimmer of hope for the new record. Driven by Travis Barker's pace-pushing drums, it's exudes energy that echoes classic Blink. And we finally get to hear Matt Skiba's vocals, which are actually a pretty decent fit for the band's sound. Gang vocals, harmonies, and acoustic strumming also add to the track's warmth and memorability, the latter quality being one that is hopefully synonymous with California.

EDIT: Turns out Matt does sing in "Bored To Death," as can be seen in the newly released video for the track.
